Course objectives

  • Enhance knowledge and technical skills in percutaneous and laparoscopic ultrasound-guided procedures, including drainage, biopsies, cholangioscopy, and tumor ablation
  • Provide an updated overview of minimally invasive strategies for the management of complex hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) conditions, including acute pancreatitis,
  • biliary drainage, and liver tumors
  • Explore the role of new technologies such as biodegradable stents, AI, robotic systems, stereotactic navigation, and hybrid operating rooms in image-guided procedures
  • Improve decision-making in the selection and planning of ablation vs. surgical resection through evidence-based discussions and case analysis
  • Promote cross-specialty collaboration between interventional radiologists and surgeons for optimal patient outcomes
  • Gain insight into emerging technologies and advancement in intraoperative navigation systems for liver tumors ablation and resection (laparoscopic and open)
