Course objectives
- To cover a broad spectrum of surgical procedures in laparoscopic, transanal, flexible endoscopy and robotic colorectal surgery
- To highlight technical aspects of surgical interventions through the broadcasting of live procedures
- To provide proper indications for surgical and non-surgical treatments of malignant colorectal disease
- To discuss how to prevent and manage intraoperative and postoperative complications
- To allow real-time discussion between operators and trainee surgeons
- To provide hands-on sessions to improve skills in laparoscopic, transanal, flexible endoscopy and robotic colorectal surgery through practice under expert tutorials
Educational methods
- Interactive theoretical and video sessions between faculty and course participants
- Live and pre-recorded operative demonstrations
- Practical training on live tissue, virtual simulators and pelvic trainers
Optional University Diploma in Colorectal Surgery
- Evaluation through theoretical exams and practical tests at the end of the Intensive course session leads to the delivery of a “University Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery” awarded by the University of Strasbourg.The diploma fees (around 560 Euros) are to be paid in cash. No payment by credit card will be accepted.

Any cancellation or modification request must be sent by e-mail to IRCAD – please do not contact the hotel directly.- Full refund: if notified at least 10 days before the start of the course.
- Partial refund: if notified within 10 days before the course, one night's accommodation will be non-refundable.
- No refund: in case of no-show
Booking Policy
Rooms are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The booking deadline is 10 days before the start of the course.
After this date, IRCAD cannot guarantee room availability, but you may still request accommodation and rooms will be allocated subject to availability.
In case of unavailability, we will do our best to re-accommodate you in a nearby hotel of equal standard.
